There is always a problem in receiving entries for this annual competition and this year was no exception with only three entries on show. That’s not to say that the entries were not of a high standard.
First off was Mark with a presentation about “The Forest”. Mark never let’s us down and so we had travelling shots with beautifully shot views of flowers and groundcover in the forest. Mark didn’t forget the trees and the tree blossom with the whole film being set to a fascinating piece of music.
Frank followed in a similar manner with Trees and wild flowers and included some well produced moving shots set to an enhancing piece of John Barrie music and this was judged the best of the three films.
Stewart gave us “Nature’s Resilience” during which we heard the sound of a cuckoo but was it really there. He continues to amaze us with shots using travelling focus and had an interesting commentary.
We then took the opportunity to view several of the films from the 2018 SERIAC Festival and “As if in a dream” we took a journey through “The Norfolk Broads” before cooling down in “Greenland's Ice Cold Beauty”.
